According to the patient the wound closure happened in less than two months. The outcome was a cosmetically inconspicuous linear scar that was positioned in alignment with the posterior hairline.

Since then, the patient has remained completely free from Folliculitis Nuchae (also known as Acne Keloidalis Nuchae). This removal surgery was a turning point, relieving the patient from the emotional concerns about other people staring and paying attention to the lesion on the back of his head.
