A keloid is a raised scar made of collagen that grows over normal skin. It is often accompanied by sharp pains and itching.  Keloids develop within the scar tissue after an abrasion or wound occurs on the skin. It is common for them to occur after a piercing.

Earlobe Keloid Scar Removal – Flap Method

The previous steroid injections by themselves were ineffective in removing the keloid. So Dr U extracted the keloid from the earlobe. He then used a keloid-flap to close the scar. Using a flap inhibits the scar forming signal the wound requires to form a scar.

Typically keloids would grow back sometimes even bigger after conventional surgery. In this case it did not reoccur. The pictures below show results at one year after removal using Dr U’s keloidal-flap Surgical method with no sign of recurrence and without the need for steroid injections or maintenance treatment of any kind. This is not a typical convention and DR. U’s methods is rather unique and groundbreaking. It results in an aesthetically pleasing reduction of scarring and a quick healing process.
