Dr. Sanusi Umar is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology. He went into the field of dermatology as a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is additionally a fellowship trained Cosmetic Surgeon having completed an American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (AACS) accredited program. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr. Umar is a faculty member of the Harbor-UCLA Dermatology Department where he engages in cutting edge research and in the teaching of residents and medical students in Dermatology and dermatologic Cosmetic Surgery. He is the inventor of the Single Follicle Extraction Techniques, a unique hair transplantation method that enables the transfer of body and beard hair in the treatment of hair loss. He is well published and frequently presents at national and international conferences.

 

Introducing our New Clinical Esthetician: Pearl Stringer

Pearl Stringer is a board certified Esthetician. She has spent the last six years perfecting her skills in the medical esthetics field. Pearl keeps up-to-date with the newest technology by attending advanced medical esthetic courses and seminars on a regular basis. Before joining Dr. Umar at FineTouch Dermatology, Pearl worked for plastic surgeons in Santa Monica and Beverly Hills, California. There she performed many of the industry's leading facial treatments including microdermabrasion, ultimate skin rejuvenation facials and oxygen treatments. She has extensive training with Epicuren, IS clinical, Image, Kalli medical, Echo 2 Oxygen, Sybaritic, Prescribed Solutions and Obagi. Pearl's vocational goal has been to provide effective solutions to her client's skin challenges, as well as guide them toward the latest, most beneficial esthetic treatments on the market today. It is her belief that healthy, radiant skin is essential for the self confidence and overall well being of every individual.
